School is back in Session
Only 3 more days and journey continues on the path of Archeological enlightenment. When I initially started the Unorthodox Chef, is was the sole purpose of sharing my experiences and of course some of my favorite dishes. It is now time to share with you why I choose to leave restaurants to embark on a new and exciting endeavor.
I think when you set out to accomplish something and it actually happens, you wonder will there be anything abe to top this? In my situation, owning my restaurants was a once in a lifetime experience but, for me I wanted to enjoy all aspects of my particular interests.
I think that’s why I decided to go back and achieve my Doctorate. It was a challenge my first two semesters back, getting into the swing of things but, once I did it was an addiction. Feeding the mind with new information, consistently having a schedule that dictated every day of my life. I love it!
I wondered to myself, if everyone in this world was given more than one gift why would they just utilize just one? Why would you continue to do the same thing everyday when you knew each day could be a new adventure?I wanted this, and I worked towards this.
I made the plunge and I am better for it. My life is taking new turns and I hope that everyone of you can look deep into yourselves and find that passion once again. If you don’t feel that now and you think that what you are doing in not fulfilling you in every sense of yourself, I think you can make a change.

Great post, dear lady. I’m really proud of you for all that you have accomplished these past few months. I think that I am getting old and can’t keep up with you! j/k hehehe.
BTW… This blog is really starting to look amazing! I love the recent posts change too!
There is a weird sort of pleasure with learning. With me and my Uni course, it kicked in after about six months but by that time I was completely hooked.
Lauren,
You will reach the stars with your determination and passion for greater things..All the best to you!
